May 29 will see vibrant music festival Leeds Loves Latino come to the city, with a number of Latin inspired musical acts taking the stage.

Music will range from traditional offerings from highly acclaimed salsa band Salsa Celtica to the electronic sounds of Glastonbury favourite Latin Dub Sound System.

The event will also feature the biggest ever class in latest fitness craze Zumba, an energetic exercise routine combining dancing and aerobics. Heading the class will be fitness instructor Julia Lawson.

She said: “I love the energy and the vibrancy of the class – the Latin rhythms really get people moving and smiling. I can’t wait to lead the class on such a large scale on Millennium Square. It’s going to be amazing.”

Professional dancers will also be gracing the event, with Basement Jaxx collaborators MC Magico and the Meuve Dancers showcasing Colombian dance along with premier UK company Element Dance.

Advanced tickets are available for £11 at leedsloveslatino.com or by calling 0113 2243801.
